Interior Design
Building on a longstanding interest and passion for Sustainability, Freeman Studio was established to provide clients with an opportunity to collaborate on projects where the future of our environment is fundamental to our design process. Creating projects that not only focus on the function, form, and experience of the visual aspect but also consider the sensory impact of design choices ‘health is wealth’. Established as a ‘circular and regenerative’ interior design studio, we offer our clients proposals within a framework that grounds all decisions in a fundamental approach toward the specification and utilization of health-conscious materials and processes.
We understand that the journey to a low-carbon future is ever-developing, and the prospect of technological advances is very exciting. Balancing this opportunity with budgets, project restrictions, and helping clients to understand and take their place in the circular economy our best endeavours will be made and we understand that there will always be room for improvement.
After 20 years working in London I decided that it was time to make a change, start my own business, and use my time as President of the British Institute of Interior Design to delve deeper into my passions, define my purpose, and figure out how I can be more active “be the change you want to see”. After joining a BIID committee in 2015 I have watched with delight at how the institute has established, represented, educated, and guided the membership and broader interior design industry. My work at the BIID has had a strong student and educational focus, which I will continue and bring into Freeman Studio as well as being involved in industry events in the UK, Europe, and Internationally. This exposure and involvement in many conversations and experiencing varied points of view will feed into Freeman Studio and to our clients.
